- Genentech has several internships for undergrads or students who have completed their Bachelor’s within the past two years.
- BookEnds Literary Agency is offering a part-time, remote summer internship to students (no age or degree requirement); pay rate is $16/hr.
- Sabin Vaccine Institute has rolling internships for undergrad and post-graduate students throughout the year. Pay rate is equal to DC’s minimum wage or in alliance with the partnership program for a specific internship.
- Sabin Vaccine Institute is offering a $10k scholarship and three-month paid internship for undergrad students at historically Black colleges and universities in public health and life science programs. Deadline, April 7, 2023.
- NYC Department of Design & Construction 2023 Summer Intern – The program is geared toward students majoring in Engineering, Architecture, Construction Management, Urban Planning, and/or Sustainability Design, entering their Sophomore/Junior/Senior or 5th Year Program in college, or in graduate school. $525 per week for undergraduate students. 10-week program.
- John M. Belk impact fellowship Nurturing Social Impact Leaders is open for students enrolled in community college and undergrad programs in North Carolina only. 10-month, about 11 hrs. per week, $15/hr. Deadline, March 31, 2023.
- University of Utah, College of Pharmacy is offering a 10-week summer internship for undergrads. Stipend of $5,000 plus coverage for housing expenses. Deadline, March 15, 2023.
- Latino SHARE program is interested in students from Hispanic/Latino communities with an interest in studies/career in HIV-related research. $15/hr. for 10 weeks, 40 hrs. per week. Provide additional housing stipend to students who are coming from outside of the DC area. Deadline is March 24, 2023.
- Fischell Institute is looking for undergrad students for several projects ranging from Clinical analysis, synthetic bio, to data analysis and device fabrication. Deadline, March 24, 2023.
- U.S. Department of State is offering internships for U.S. citizen students interested in participating in the formulation and implementation of U.S. foreign policy. Pay rate is $18.36/hr.
- Friends of the Global Fight Against AIDS, Tuberculosis and Malaria is hiring interns for their Policy team. Stipend is listed as $2,500.
- Detroit Zoological Society’s Center for Zoo and Aquarium Animal Welfare and Ethics (CZAAWE) is accepting summer interns; pay rate is $15/hr. Deadline, March 17, 2023.
- KBI Biopharma is hiring a research intern (even high school grads with enrollment in Associate’s qualify). Pay is $15-$19/hour.
- Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) offers in-house internships, as well as in partnership with other institutions.
- Johnson & Johnson is looking for undergraduate student for synthetic organic chemistry summer research project.
- Atlanta Botanical Gardens is hiring collections technician and digitization technician for the summer, $12/hr.
- Radiolab Summer Internship at WNYC Studios is offering a paid internship ($17.50 an hour) plus the potential for college credit. Deadline, March 15, 2023.
Graduate Students (Master’s and PhD)
Paid internships provide an opportunity to build relationships with industry mentors. There is a thriving professional world beyond Academia that highly appreciates your skills. - American Cancer Society is offering postdoctoral fellowships to facilitate a career in cancer research. 3 year award with starting stipend of $66,000 along with additional allowance for health insurance and conferences. Application Deadline is April 1 and October 15.

- Climate Solutions Foundation Congressional Fellowship Program is offering a 1 year fellowship for graduate students interested in gaining political experience in a congressional setting. Salary is $80,000. Deadline, March 31, 2023.
- The North Carolina STEM Policy Post-Graduate Fellowships – graduate students from North Carolina colleges and universities will serve full-time for a year in high-level state government offices, focusing on policy topics related to STEM. $52,500 stipend plus $2000 travel bonus. Deadline, March 27, 2023.
- North Carolina Sea Grant has several fellowships in management, policy and scientific research.
